The Blyth & Bedlington School Sport Partnership is a phase 9 partnership situated in the SE corner of Northumberland and came into operation in September 2005.

The education system in Northumberland is going through a period of change from a 3 tier structure of First Schools, Middle Schools and High Schools to a 2 tier structure of Primary Schools and Secondary Schools. The County wide process will take many years, leaving the Sports partnership operating within a 3 tier system in Bedlington and a 2 tier system in Blyth from September 2010.

At the present time the Partnership is staffed by a Partnership Development Manager, an Assistant Partnership Development Manager and 13 SSCo's.update

The Partnership serves: 2 High Schools, 1 Secondary School, 1 Academy, 9 Middle Schools, 7 Primary Schools and 12 First Schools.
